WILLIE LEE CARR
May 31, 1941 - December 4, 2011

 
Willie Lee Carr, 70, of Linesville, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2011, at his residence.
Born May 31, 1941 in Glendora, Miss., he was the son of the late Oscar Sr. and Mary Ellen Unions Carr. He was a graduate of East High School in Erie.
Willie served our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked as a long distance truck driver and a construction worker.
Willie was of the Catholic faith. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and working on cars and anything with an engine.
Survivors include his wife Susan L. (Albaugh) Carr; three sons, Tony Carr, Willie Jr. Carr, and George Carr; six daughters, Demitta Carr Moore, Portia Bibes, Dana Woodson, Rae Ann Jaycox, Malinda Carr, Abagale M. M. Carr; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; five sisters, Johnnie Bryant, Hattie Johnson, Evelyn Carr, Diane McQueen, Marilyn Cole and her husband, Rev. Michael Cole, all of Erie; seven brothers, Oscar Carr Jr., and Robert Lockett of Phoenix, Arizona, Arthur T. Carr, Andre Carr and his wife, Cindy, J.C. Corder, Donald Ginnery, and James Parker all of Erie; his step-mother, Ruby (Parker) Carr; an uncle Elder Feltcher Carr Sr. and his wife, Luella; and many aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Lolita A. Carr Flemings; a son, Tyrome Carr; two sisters, Barbara Grayson and Georgia Corder; two brothers, Eddie G. Carr and Richard Lockett.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
 
 
As Willie's family prepare to say their goodbyes, I prepare a place for him here, at Life Ever After.

I remember Willie. He treated me like a sister. When I had car trouble he would come to my house and work on my car.
He would never try to get over on anyone. He always was fair and he will truly be missed.
Well he's with God now. No more pain for him or sickness.. He's finally at peace. May God Bless you all.
