God saw you were getting tired, 
And a cure was not to be 

So he put his arms around you

With tearful eyes we watched you
And saw you pass away.

Although we loved you dearly, 
we could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating,

Hard working hands at rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us,

He only takes the best.

 
On the anniversary of Nick's birthday we celebrate with the knowledge that he is watching over us with love.

Dominic “Mickey” Castano

November 11,1957 - September 3, 2006
Dominic Castano         Dominic “Mickey” Castano, age 48, of Erie, died Sunday, September 3, 2006.
He was born in Erie on November 11, 1957, son of Nancy Castano of Harborcreek and the late Dominic “Nick” Castano.
Mickey was self-employed in auto detail; was an animal lover; enjoyed nature and was known for having a very generous heart.
Besides his mother, he is survived by two sisters, Chery Castano of St. Petersburg, FL and Denise Gajewski and husband Jerry of Queensbury, NY; one brother, David Castano and wife Lisa of York, PA; five nieces and nephews, Abby and Molly Gajewski and Joshua,
Julia and Simeon Castano; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

 “My son, your brother, your cousin, your friend, his troubled life has come to an end.
He’s at peace with his Dad, where he wanted to be.
Once there were 4, now there are 3.
Some understood and some did not.
Those who did loved him a lot.
His life was troubled for so many years.
 I pray he’s at peace â€" even thru my tears.”
