November 20, 1933 - February 13, 2010

. John H McCoy, 76,  of Buford Ga. passed away Saturday morning, February 13, 2010 after a brief illness.
John previously resided in Erie where he was a chef for the Erie Club before opening his own business, J & S Restaurant. 
He has been a resident of Buford, GA for the past eighteen years. He was a retired chef from Chateau Elan in Braselton, GA 

John is survived by his significant other of twenty-seven years, Shirley Case, sister, Carrie Burgess of South Carolina; sister-in-law, Stephanie McCoy of California; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and Shirley's children; Robin (Vincent) Cammaroto of Erie, Pa.; Cheryl Baybrook of Erie, Pa.; Jerry (Karen) Case of Gainesville, Ga.; Tammy (Bramlett) Johnson of Erie, Pa.; Brian (Vanessa) Case of Snellville, Ga. and Patrick (Casey) Case of Statham, Ga. along with 14 grand children and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at 12:00 noon in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home

He leadeth me beside the still waters.

He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name' sake.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies;
Thou annointest my head with oil;
My cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life,

In Memory of our loved one.

It was sad to hear of John's passing. As I create this page in his memory I want to remind everyone that we don't leave loved ones when we die. We all will see John again.

I still can't believe he's gone, but I am so thankful he didn't suffer. Went to the doctors on Wednesday, found a mass on his lung, sent him to the hospital, he was admitted and had tests done all week. The following Friday he was gone. I miss him so much, he really was a remarkable man. I will be spending my winters in Georgia and my summers in Erie. 
Thanks to everyone for their cards and letters and prayers.
