JOHN
MICHAEL YURKEWICZ
|
|
April 22, 2009 - April 24, 2009 |
John Michael Yurkewicz, peacefully went home to be with our generous
Lord, Jesus Christ on Thursday April 24, 2009 at St. Vincent Health
Center.
Though John Michael was diagnosed with
Trisomy 18, a genetic disorder
affecting the 18th Chromosome, his parents, Stephen R., Sr. and Susan D.
Wingerter Yurkewicz welcomed the blessing he was, acknowledging that
every life is precious.
John Michael amazed everyone during his short life by drawing an entire
community together and gifting all who knew of his existence with a
sense of the profound dignity of life. He has left a deep impact of his
tiny footprints on the hearts of his four brothers, Isaac, Stephen Jr.,
Samuel, and Jamie as well as his two sisters, Lily and Susie. John
Michael's grandparents, Steve and Marlene Yurkewicz and Ann Wingerter
have loved this precious baby throughout his entire 36 1/2 weeks of
pregnancy and two whole days of life. He is greatly loved and cherished
by many aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his maternal
grandfather James Wingerter.
John Michael rests in Calvary Cemetery.

Memories |
Not knowing the little guy, I did my best to make a page that would bring
warmth and love to all who view it. My heart goes out to all his
family. John Michael will always have a place at Life Ever After.

I want to share my sorrow in the loss of your precious little angel. A
dear mutual friend, Stacey DeStefano, has shared your story with me and
I have been praying for you all. Although we may never meet here on this
earth, I know I will meet you both and little John Michael in Heaven.
May God Grant you all comfort at this time of loss.

Steve, Susan and all relatives,
Our deepest sympathy is offered to all of you with John's passing into
eternal life.
In John's Gospel, Chapter 11, verses 25 and 26, we read:
"I am the resurrection and the life: whoever believes in me, even if he
dies, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never
die."
Believe!
May God continue to bless and watch over all of you during John's
entrance into his eternal reward in heaven.

I am deeply sorry for your loss. I will keep your family in my prayers.
Eternal God, who sends consolation to all sorrowing hearts,
we turn to You for solace in this, our trying hour.
Though bowed in grief as our loved one departs from our midst to enter
into peace of life eternal,
we reaffirm our faith in Your compassion and Your ever-present love.
May we bear our sorrow with trustful hearts,
and knowing You are near, may we not despair.
Into Your hands we commend the spirit of our beloved.
Body and soul are Yours, O God,
and in Your presence we cast off fear and are at peace.
"There is no death, what we call death.
Is but surcease from strife;
They do not die who we call dead,
They go from life ... to Life."
