Harry T. Kaufman Beloved Father and Grandfather, age
80, of Erie, died Sunday, April 23, 2006 at his residence surrounded by
his family.
He was born in Pittsburgh, Pa. on February 19, 1926, son of the late
Carroll and Myrtle Kaufman. Harry was a member of Christ United Methodist
Church, and the Zukor Club.
He was an insurance agent with Prudential
Insurance for 20 years until his retirement.
Following that he worked for Festival Foods.
Harry was an avid golfer,
golfing in leagues at Orchard Pond and was also a bowler and bowled at
Eastway Lanes on the team sponsored by the Dusckas Funeral Home for 30
years. |

He place first in the dart leagues at the Zukor Club in 2005 and
enjoyed the dart league play. Harry followed the
Cleveland Indians and the
Pittsburgh Steelers. He was a family man, enjoying the time with his
children and grandchildren.
Harry was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Kaufman; a son, Dennis
Kaufman, Debera's twin, and a brother, Carroll Kaufman.
Survivors include three daughters, Debera Ramey, Carol Kaufman and Donna
Kaufman, all of Erie; one brother, Raymond Kaufman and his wife, Doris and
one sister, Donna Hoffman, all of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; ten grandchildren;
nine great-grandchildren; several close nieces, nephews, cousins and
friends.
Harry waited for his final journey until he knew his newly adopted
great-grandson, Samuel, from Ethiopia was safely home.
Friends paid their respects and consoled the family at the Dusckas-Martin
Funeral Home, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. A funeral service at
Christ United Methodist Church
was held.
Harry joined his loving wife in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.

REMEMBER HARRY. A FEW OF US USED TO PARTY ON FRIDAY NIGHT AFTER
WORK. WELL I DON'T DRIVE SO I WOULD TELL HARRY I HAVE TO BE HOME
EARLY I DO NOT GO TO BED WITH DIRTY DISHES IN THE SINK. WELL ONE
NIGHT I CALLED HARRY ON THE PHONE, AFTER HE WAS IN BED AT 2 3O AM TO
TELL HIM I JUST FINISHED THE DISHES.
WE WILL ALL MISS HIM.

I was so sorry to hear about your dad. I only met him a couple of
times, but I could tell he was a very nice man. I know you will miss
him a lot, my dad was gone 6 years in February. I will say a prayer
for all of you.

4/25/06 Harry will be missed by all his friends at the Zukor club he was
a ambassador of good will i had the privilege of golfing with him in
the bobby apex open last august we did not win the tournament but we
had a barrel of laughs he always had a kind word for everyone

I've been thinking about you the lasts few days. I hope you are
