When I lost
my dad last year, my Uncle Jerry stepped in and was the rock
that my mom and I needed. I am confident that when he was
greeted by my dad on the other side, my dad thanked him for
looking out for us.

I am saddened by Jerry's passing. He was always
friendly and kind to the Iroquois students and faculty, and
always willing to help out. My condolences to his family - you
will be in my prayers.

Jerry was a great friend to many of us who grew
up in the 50's and 60's around Delaware Avenue, where we would
meet at his home to share an interest in motorcycles, cars and
just hanging out. He was so many things: a kind and generous man
who loved life, family, and friends; one who would always help
out others in need and share whatever he had; a naturally gifted
mechanic who could (and did) fix anything, including an
Oldsmobile transmission that he rebuilt in his kitchen; and
someone with a great sense of humor who could laugh at
misfortune. We were blessed to have him in our lives. Sympathies
to all his family and loved ones.

Gerald Case was my papa {grandpa}. I loved him dearly, and so did
everyone else that had him in their lives. It is very hard for
me to know that he is gone. He will NEVER be forgotten and will
always be loved. Thank you all for coming to the funeral. My
sympathy goes out to everyone else.

Brian and family,
I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your father. It's been
a very long time since I've seen you, Robin or the rest of the
family, but I want you to know I'm thinking of you all. Your dad
was always so good to me and for the few years that we were
together, he welcomed me into the family as if I were his own
child. He is fondly remembered in my heart.
My sympathies to each of you.

Here is a poem that Breanne wrote after she returned from Dads
funeral. I guess she has his thing for poetry.... Brian

Draw Near to Death
Soon I will be there Darkness galore
And the light at the end of the tunnel shines ever so
bright
First, I feel the hand of death grip around me firmly
I lose my breath, My heart stops beating My
spirit leaves,
As I close my eyes I strap in for the ride
As I reach heaven The daylight shines
brightly,
Then I know I'm where I belong.

2/23/05 It's been a week since I heard the news. Family
and friends gathered to pay their respects. It was great seeing
everyone again, sorry it had to be on a sad occasion. I
created this page for my uncle, to keep his memory alive. You
may visit here as often as you like. Any photos or memories are
welcomed. Only love is listed here.

2/26/05 One week ago today we said goodbye.
It seems like hours since we heard your laugh and saw you smile.
Our heart feels the missed beat, Our eyes cloud up a while
But deep down we know you are watching and will make everything
alright.

3/2/05 Jerry was the one person who helped me stay alive
for a whole year. He was here to help me get through the loss of
my husband who passed away a year ago Feb 04. Hope Jerry meets
him on the other side, and tells him all he did for me and don't
forget the month vacation out west to see all your friends.
Jerry's Big Sister,

3/16/05 One month has passed and not a day goes by that we
don't think of Jerry. Family and friends remember his kindness
and love.

3/27/05 Happy Easter. We visited the cemetery and left a
bunny rabbit and some of Jerry's favorite candy. It helps
the healing to include our loved ones in our everyday
lives.

4/16/05 Two months - a mere 60 days ago Jerry was
talking about going west to the fun in the sun.
Today the sun shines bright and we remember the plans that he
made. Anna Mae and family are going to take that trip west in
June and take some memories of Jerry with them. Remember
Jerry is without pain and at peace now.

4/19/05 The Cancer Hospice had a ceremony honoring loved ones
that passed from Cancer. Jerry was listed. His family and
sister Anna Mae attended.

Gerald Case was my grandma’s brother. Her name is Anna Mae
Fuller. She loves Gerry very much! They traveled all over the
place. They had quite a time! It was sort of journey. I didn’t
go, but I heard all about it… It was wonderful. I wish I had
gone. But I had school!! But when they got back, I was sooooooo
happy! But now since he has passed away, I am sad. But he is not
really gone; he is still in our hearts. I love him as much as my
grandmother. But she was with him the most, before he passed.
But it is ok now. She is still having sorrow, but she knows that
he is with my grandpa, Bill Fuller, her husband. And they are
taking care of each other. I hope that he is happy, because now
he is in a better place, where he wont have no pain, no more!
And we understand that, and we miss him, very very very much.

Well, its that time of year. The
holidays are upon us. And holidays are all about spending time
with your loved ones. This year is extremely difficult because
it is the first Christmas without my father. And even though I
have lived in Georgia the past several years, and have not been
able to spend the holiday with dad. I always spoke with him on
the telephone, even if it was for a short period of time. And
every year I could picture all of us kids surrounding the tree
as dad passed out the gifts that Santa Claus brought for us that
year. And the distance between us didn't seem quite as far. I
know dad is up there watching over us now. So I wanted to say
Merry Christmas dad. I love you and I miss you!!!
Love,
your youngest son, Patrick

In Loving Memory Of
Gerald G. Case
Feb. 11, 1933 - Feb 16, 2005
ALWAYS
Papa's in
a better place
A smile still upon his face
Forever spreading laughter and cheer
Unhappiness, his only fear
So don't you let your Papa down
Never replace that smile with a frown
When times are looking rough, get smart,
Find Papa deep inside your heart.
He'll give you guidance to pull you through
Your Papa's always here with you.
