January 2012 Thanks for all you did for me and my
mom after my dad passed away. You were always a good
uncle and brother. My van is still running after all
these years. I think of you every time I go for an
oil change or get something fixed on it. Thanks for
taking care of grandpa's house when you lived here,
so that it was in good condition when I moved in. I
plan to keep it in good condition. I know you are
watching over your family and that can be a lot of
work, your family is growing fast (I read about it
on facebook) but thank you for watching out for me
too.

Today my dad would have been celebrating his 79th
birthday.
For whatever reason, his birthday is really getting
to me today. I know he is celebrating in Heaven. RIP
Dad.

Dad,
As the years pass, it is supposed to get
easier but today it is hitting me very
hard.
Today is your birthday and I am spending
the day with my grandchildren,
your great grandchildren. It is hard to think about them growing up never
having had the chance to know you.
We often watch your video of your trip
to Arizona with Aunt Anna Mae
and just hearing your voice puts a smile on my face.
Happy Birthday Dad you are greatly missed!

Seven years already. Oh my, time is just
flying by, Don't know if I ever told you
Thank You. But today I want to say Thank
You. The van that you helped me
pick out is still running good
It has been from Erie to Florida and
Erie to Arizona and now Erie to Kansas
and Washington DC and all points
in-between. |

When I was young and even not so young, I remember
my dad embarrassing me to no end with his poetry.
Whenever the mood hit him, no matter where we were
or what we were doing he would make up a poem on the
spot.
Now I wish he were here to embarrass me.

Anyone who claims that it gets easier as time passes
is full of it...As time passes I keep thinking of
all the things you have missed out on with your
grandson.
Its a shame he never got the chance to meet such a
great man. RIP Dad

Saw this on facebook this morning
from Kristy.
"My
dad is having surgery today after two years of
struggling with a herniated disc in his spinal
column. Please keep Gerald Case in your prayers. His
surgery begins at 1:50pm, and should last 3 hours.
" Gerry, your oldest son is having surgery. I
know he is strong and will come out of it fine. But
you keep your eye on him to let him know that he
needs to be strong for his family, Your
grandchildren and great grandchildren. Say hi
to mom for me. I miss her. |
