Memories

As I heard the news of my cousin Dale, I thought of us as children.
It was always a treat when his family came to visit our grandfather, Alpha Case, who lived across the street from me.
I was not quite three years older than him and we were close. He was a ruff and tumble boy. Loved to play and get dirty. When Dale joined the Navy I was so proud. I too was in the Navy, he was on the west coast and I was on the East Coast.  We didn't see each other much after becoming adults, but my parents did see him on their trips to Arizona. They would stop in Big Cabin and chat a while.
I am sure he found my parents when he went to Heaven.  Hey Dale, this place will always be here in memory of you.
Love
Pudge

We were so shocked to hear about Dale ( I called him my sweetie - that was our pet name for one another) - oh how we will miss him! His kindness, gentleness, & most of all his humor.
I remember going to Mansfield with him to a truck pull & he was our entertainment - no one on the bleachers was watching the trucks because we were all laughing too hard from all of Dale's jokes.
We are so sorry for your loss - I can't stop crying - he was our dear friend. Our thoughts & prayers go out to all of you.
We would love to be there at the funeral but we live in Ohio - hugs to all of you.
God Bless
Mary Ann & Skip Brutsche (Dale's Buddies)
P.S. We love you Dale & will surely miss you!

Everybody probably has a Dale story. This is just one of ours. Dale always loved giving my daughter, Alex, a hard time - teasing and such. When she was a teenager, we happened to run into him at Walmart. Sure enough, in just a few minutes, we heard over the loud speaker "Little Alex Jones, your Mommy is waiting for you at the service desk". Of course, Alex being a teenager, was horrified, but it was funny. It's almost fitting that the last time we saw Dale was at Wal-Mart, the night before he passed. Dale was a funny, funny guy.
