Clara M. Bennett Kaus, age 71, of Waterford, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2011 at UPMC Hamot.
She was born January 2, 1940 in Erie, daughter of the late Ira and Mary  Platner Bennett .
She had resided in the Erie area her entire life.
Clara was a devoted homemaker and enjoyed spending time outdoors caring for her land and property in Waterford.
She had previously cared for and boarded horses; an interest of which was passed on to her granddaughter, Kristen who is an avid equestrian.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles  F. Kaus; one daughter, Cathy Snyder; one son, Christopher Kaus;
a son-in-law, Russ Snyder; one grandson, Bruce Kaus; sister, Joyce Barnett; brothers, Clifton, Neil and Larry Bennett and uncle Anthony Platner.

Survivors include one son, Tony Kaus (Angela) of Charlotte, N.C.; one daughter, Connie Kaus of Waterford;
three brothers, Ira, John and Steve Bennett all of Erie; four grandchildren; Keith, Russell, Kristen and Bryce Kaus;
several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Clara received beautiful Roses which is her favorite flower. Family and friends gathered to say goodbye.
