From the time we moved here and I became a
member of VFW Post 740, Charlie always had time to talk with me.
Over the years I came to appreciate how much I learned about life by
listening to Charlie. When I last spoke with him and asked how he
was feeling, he smiled and said "better and better every day Phil".
I will always admire his courage and bravery in the face of
adversity. He was a good friend and will be sorely missed by us all.
