June 2007

June 10th we finally got John started. We tried a couple weekends ago but the battery was dead.
We brought it to town and charged it. Then took it back out but Marg couldn't get it started.  We asked
Bill Millspaw to help us and today we got it running. I took these pictures of Marg brush hogging the field.

Bill made this path so we could get back there. Then Marg mowed the rest down.
Marge coming around the barn See how much we've done.
Needed more diesel . John wanted a little more to drink.
Still a lot yet to do but there's always another day.
Getting close to our campsite.

Went out to the farm and cut some more of the field. Stopped and said Happy Father's Day to my dad.
but I know he wasn't there because he was with me on the tractor telling me to watch out for the woodchucks.

I love you daddy.

We decided last year to donate the Case tractor to be shown at tractor shows.

Bill Millspaw came and got the Case and took it to his nephew Mike.
Mike has restored and shown other antique farm equipment in the past.
Stopped at Mike Millspaw's and saw the case tractor. He is restoring it and getting it ready for a tractor show later this month.
Talked to his wife and she let us in the garage to take some pictures.
Bill asked us to get a plaque for the tractor and we had this one made.

Engraved Imaging Company made the plaque

Thanks Mike, I know my dad would be pleased to see what you have done.

9/10/07  Barb Hamilton stopped by today and showed me this picture. I scanned it to put here. It's her husband and brother, Bill and Anna Mae and J.D. during the Christmas holidays. Looks like a fun time.

Stopped out to see Bill and left this little ghost and scarecrow to keep him company.
After all it will soon be autumn and Halloween.

Stopped by to see my dad. Today is my 58th birthday. He is in my thoughts and dreams. Helps me decide what to do and sometimes TELLS me what to do. Although gone from our site Never gone from our hearts.
Happy Thanksgiving Daddy.

Dec 9, 2007 Put a wreath on Bill's grave. Brushed the snow off the squirrel and uncovered the camper.
Flowers are all gone until the spring. The wreath has bells that will ring when the wind blows.
